The invention relates to a torque processing method of a hybrid vehicle. The torque processing method comprises the following steps: a whole controller receives signals of the amplitude of an accelerator pedal, the current rotary speed of an engine, the current gear of the vehicle and the current electric quantitycharge state of a battery by a CAN (Controller Area Network) network, and calculates and obtains a torque value needed by a power system according to the current vehicle state; the allowable maximum engine torque allowable under the current rotary speed of the engine is determined; the allowable maximum engine power generating torque allowable under the current SOC (System On Chip) state of a the high-voltage storage battery is determined; the engine fuel efficiency of the engine under the current rotary speed value and different engine torques is calculated; the torque of an engine torque setting point with lowest fuel consumption corresponding to the current rotary speed of the engine is determined; and the engine power generating torque is determined according to the required torque of the current power system and the engine torque with highest fuel efficiency. The torque processing method has the beneficial effects that proper engine torque and motor torque are obtained to improve the fuel economy.
