The invention relates to a method for washing rice and equipment thereof. The rice washing method comprises following steps: specific material feeding, rice washing and impurities eliminating. At the same time, the invention also provides washing equipment which utilizes the method. The washing equipment comprises a washing device, a material feeding device, a sand collecting chamber and a dross eliminating device. The method for washing rice and equipment thereof has the advantages of good washing effect, simple structure, and effective reduction on labor intensity of workers.
