The invention discloses a combined conveying system provided with chain drive and friction drive. The combined conveying system comprises a drive chain, a friction drive device, a carrying vehicle and a track, wherein a travelling wheel matched with the track is mounted on the carrying vehicle; the track is divided into a friction drive section and a chain drive section; the drive chain is arranged on the friction drive section, and the friction drive device is arranged on the friction drive section; the conveying system further comprises a switching device for drive switching of the carrying vehicle between the friction drive section and the chain drive section. According to the combined conveying system, the limitation of a single transmission line can be effectively solved; compared with a collinear drive manner, the design is more reasonable, and the cost is lower; the friction drive and the chain drive don't mutually interfere, stacked worepieces on the chain drive section or the friction drive section don't affect operation of workpieces on the other driving section.
