The invention discloses an information processing method which is applied to electronic equipment with a first processing unit and at least one second processing unit. The method includes the steps that the first processing unit obtains equipment description information of the second processing unit, the first processing unit determines a first USB Function drive which is a drive corresponding to a USB port of the second processing unit in first drive programs, and the first processing unit operates the first USB Function drive so as to enable first connection to map the second processing unit to a first port which is a USB port of the electronic equipment. By means of the information processing method and the electronic equipment, the problems that the second processing unit can only be operated through a UAR/T port in relative techniques and operations are complicated and waste time are solved.
