The arrangement (2) has an oil pump (6) and an oil line system comprising passages (8a-8d). The passages are arranged among the oil pump and gear items (12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24). Placing items (28, 32, 34) are arranged in the gear items, which convey lubricating oil to the placing items. A lateral drive laterally drives the oil pump to convey the lubricating oil to a motor vehicle. A flow rate source (4) i.e. flow rate regulator, is arranged on the passages. A hydraulic part is arranged in the placing items. An independent claim is also included for a method for supplying lubricating oil to gear items of a motor vehicle.
