The invention discloses a method for electric spark machining control. The method comprises the following steps that firstly, the electric spark waveform is identified; secondly, an electric spark discharge voltage oscillogram is determined, and the current discharge state of electric sparks is determined according to the electric spark discharge voltage oscillogram, wherein the discharge state is an open circuit state or a normal discharge state or an arc discharge state or a short circuit state; thirdly, according to the current discharge state of the electric sparks, the discharge pulse interval is adjusted in real time according to a preset value. According to different discharge states, different control strategies are adopted, the discharge pulse interval is adjusted in real time, so that better machining efficiency and better machining quality are acquired, machining stability and machining efficiency are obviously improved, real-time performance is good, an operation cycle is short, and the method and system are high in practicality in electric spark control.
