Provided is a modified cross-section fiber which comprises polyethylene as the main constituent component and exhibits excellent processability and which can yield a fabric that exhibits an excellent contact cool feeling and excellent texture. This modified cross-section fiber has a flat cross section passing through the fiber axis, said flat cross section having an A/B1 ratio of 2 to 10 [wherein A is the length of the major axis of the flat cross section and B1 is the maximum length of the minor axis perpendicular to the major axis].
