The invention discloses a method for reducing new anode current conducting time of an electrolytic cell, and belongs to the technical field of aluminium electrolysis. The method comprises the following steps: (1) mounting an aluminium plate on the bottom surface of a new anode to be replaced; (2) during aluminium electrolysis, when the anode is replaced, falling down the new anode from the electrolytic cell through a crown block to enable the bottom surface of the new anode and the aluminium plate to penetrate through electrolyte and enter liquid aluminum, and melting the aluminium plate; (3) when current of the new anode rises to above 50% of normal working current, lifting the new anode into the electrolyte for normal production. By the method, a guarantee can be provided for smooth electrolysis and reduction of energy consumption.
