The invention provides a method executed by a WTRU, the WTRU and a node B. The method comprises that the WTRU receives and discontinuously receives DRX control information; the DRX control information indicates the WTRU to examine preset time interval of physical down link control channels aiming at indicators related to the WTRU; the WTRU enters the DRX mode, thereby the WTRU is periodically awakened to examine paging according to the preset time interval, and the WTRU will enters the DRX mode if there is at least partially no paging information related to the WTRU; the WTRU monitors activity of the WTRU; and the WTRU increases DRX intervals along with the increasing of non-activity of the WTRU.
