The leather tanning agent is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 4-7 parts of ammonium persulfate, 2-3 parts of acrylic acid, 25-46 parts of phenol, 2-4 parts of sodium hydroxide, 3-4 parts of sodium hydrogen sulfate, 4-9 parts of sulfur dioxide, 5-8 parts of triethanolamine, 2.5-5.5 parts of a penetrating agent T, 2-4 parts of dehydroacetic acid, 1.2-3 parts of polyethylene wax, 8-13 parts of hydroxyl silicone oil, 6-12 parts of waste containing cellulose and 35-46 parts of deionized water. The leather tanning agent has the benefits that the leather tanning agent is high in tanning capacity, low in cost and pollution-free; finished leather is soft, fluffs are thin, and the air permeability is high.
