The invention relates to the technical field of chemical leather processing agents, and specifically relates to a high-performance leather tanning agent. The leather tanning agent is composed of the following components in parts by weight: 10 to 30 parts of bichromate, 30 to 50 parts of bi-aluminum hydroxide, 5 to 10 parts of wastes containing cellulose, 1 to 20 parts of sulfuric acid, and 50 to 200 parts of water. The provided high-performance leather tanning agent is capable of upgrading the finished leather and the cost of the tanning agent is very low.
