The invention discloses an atomizer and an electronic cigarette with the same. The atomizer comprises an atomizing assembly. The atomizing assembly comprises an atomizing head and an atomizing tube, and the upper end of the atomizing head abuts against the atomizing tube. The atomizer further comprises an outer sleeve arranged on the periphery of the atomizing tube in a sleeving mode, a gas inlet channel is formed between the atomizing tube and the outer sleeve, and the gas inlet channel is directly communicated with the upper end of the atomizing head. By means of the atomizer, liquid leakage of a gas inlet hole can be effectively avoided. In addition, the atomizer is simple in structure and easy to produce.
