The invention discloses a preparation method for a bionic self-cleaning Maya blue pigment. According to the method, first, organic dye molecules are dissolved in water, pretreated attapulgite is added into the mixture, adsorption is performed at room temperature for 0.5-24 hours, centrifugation is performed, and then the solid is dried to obtain a common Maya blue pigment; next, the common Maya blue pigment is added into an alcohol-water reaction system containing a silicon compound and a catalyst, the room temperature is regulated to 80 DEG C for a hydrolytic condensation reaction for 0.5-24 hours, and filtration, washing and heat treatment at the temperature between 25 DEG C and 250 DEG C are performed to obtain the bionic self-cleaning Maya blue pigment. By the adoption of the method, the process is simple, reaction conditions are mild, the prepared bionic self-cleaning Maya blue pigment has super-hydrophobic and super-oleophobic performance, the contact angle between the water and n-decane is larger than 150 degrees, and the rolling angle is smaller than 12 degrees; the pigment has excellent self-cleaning performance, chemical stability, solvent resistance, light and heat stability and the like, thereby having a broad application prospect in terms of oil paint, coatings and cultural relic repair.
