The invention relates to a homogenizing stock bin and a detecting method for the material level of materials in the homogenizing stock bin. The homogenizing stock bin comprises a bin body allowing the materials to be doped and mixed therein and an ultrasonic material level meter used for measuring the material level of the materials; and the ultrasonic material level meter is arranged at the top of the bin body. Compared with a weighing instrument used in the prior art, due to the fact that the cost of the ultrasonic material level meter is lower than that of the weighing instrument, the procurement cost of instrument equipment is saved; and due to the simple and convenient installation manner of the ultrasonic material level meter, the installation cost is reduced. The detecting method for the material level of the materials in the homogenizing stock bin includes the following step that the material level of the materials in the homogenizing stock bin is measured through the ultrasonic material level meter. Compared with the weighing instrument used in the prior art, the detecting method for the material level of the materials in the homogenizing stock bin is lower in cost.
