An embodiment of the invention provides an application enabling method and related equipment. The method comprises the following steps: detecting an enabling operation when enabling a first application in a mobile terminal; searching a second application capable of being called by the first application in a preset associated configuration file according to the enabling operation; and when the second application is in a disabled state in the mobile terminal, adjusting the second application from the disabled state to an enabled state. Automatic enablement of the associated second application can be realized, thereby improving operation convenience; and meanwhile, for users, the users do not need to know which applications are associated to the application using currently, or whether the associated applications are disabled, and do not need to enable the associated applications manually, thereby preventing the case that the application using currently is abnormal since the user does not know which associated application is to be called by the application using currently, and ensuring normal operation of the first application.
