The invention relates to a method for preparing polyethylene glycol 1500 diacrylate. The method comprises the steps: (1) carrying out an esterification reaction: adding polyethylene glycol 1500, acrylic acid, a solvent, i.e., toluene, a catalyst, i.e., para-toluenesulfonic acid and a polymerization inhibitor, i.e., p-hydroxyanisole into a reactor, heating the system until the system is subjected to refluxing with stirring, separating water produced from a reaction through an oil-water separator, continuing to carry out stirring for 2 hours after no water is produced, stopping heating, and stopping stirring, wherein the mole ratio of polyethylene glycol 1500 to acrylic acid is 1: (1.1 to 1.2); (2) carrying out water washing; and (3) carrying out depressurized desolventizing, thereby obtaining the finished product. According to the method disclosed by the invention, expensive special equipment is not required to be employed during production, the production cost can be reduced, and the market competitiveness of enterprises is improved, so that the product can be more extensively popularized and applied on the market.
