The invention relates to the field of network security, in particular to a flow lead method and device, which are used for solving a problem of leading a message transmitted between virtual machines in one VLAN to a traction mechanism in a third-party VM. The flow lead method provided by the embodiments of the invention comprises the following steps of receiving a message, which is sent by a first VM in a first VLAN through a source port, wherein the message carries a destination MAC address and a first VLAN tag; generating a two-layer forwarding table corresponding to a preset rule based on the preset rule; searching a destination port ID corresponding to the destination MAC address and a VLAN ID; modifying the first VLAN tag carried in the message to a second VLAN tag corresponding to the VLAN ID; and forwarding the message carrying the second VLAN tag to a second VM in a second VLAN by a destination port.
