The invention relates to a data security protection method and device. The method comprises the steps of displaying a first interface, wherein the first interface comprises a first virtual keyboard, wherein the key layout of the first virtual keyboard is generated randomly; generating a first cipher in response to input that a user clicks the first virtual keyboard; converting the first cipher into a second cipher according to a conversion key, wherein the conversion key is obtained through dynamic negotiation of a client and a server; and sending a data request containing the second cipher to the server. According to the method and the device, the cipher is not liable to break, the user account security is effectively protected, and the data security is effectively improved.
