The present invention relates to the breeding method for a hybrid catfish, named Nihuai catfish. It uses wild six-palpus catfish from the Heilongjiang River or the Songhuajiang River and common catfish as parents and breeds new catfish species through 3-4 year culture, and then artificial hybridization is conducted in early June. The new catfish species has the genetic superiorities of both distant species, including fast growth speed, high quality, high nutritious value, etc.
