The invention discloses a fabrication method of a flexible and stretchable zinc battery. The fabrication method comprises the steps (1) plating a conductive current collection layer on an elastic substrate in a pre-stretching state; (2) loading an active material layer on the conductive current collection layer to form a positive electrode and a negative electrode; (3) respectively coating surfaces of the positive electrode and the negative electrode with gel-shaped electrolytes; and (4) packaging the positive electrode and the negative electrode which are coated with the gel-shaped electrolytes by employing a flexible and stretchable package material to obtain the flexible and stretchable zinc battery. The invention also discloses the flexible and stretchable zinc battery prepared by themethod. The flexible and stretchable zinc battery has excellent battery energy density and also has stretchability, the zinc battery can be enabled to normally work under a normal condition or a condition that the zinc battery is bent and wound, and the zinc battery can be applied to wearable equipment and flexible clothing.
