The invention discloses a vehicle steering limiting method and system. The system comprises: a steering wheel rotation angle measuring device for detecting rotation angle of a steering wheel; a vehicle current steering angle determining device for determining vehicle current steering angle according to the steering wheel rotation angle measured by the steering wheel rotation angle measuring device; a limiting command generating device for comparing the vehicle current steering angle determined by the vehicle current steering angle determining device to vehicle maximum allowable steering angle,and generating a steering limiting command if a difference between the vehicle current steering angle and the vehicle maximum allowable steering angle falls in a preset range; a steering component control valve that controls action of a steering cylinder to prevent increase of the steering angle according to the steering limiting command.
