The invention discloses a semantic track database construction method based on expanding a PostgreSQL. The method specifically comprises the following steps of 1, starting from features of a semantictrack, putting forward an abstract conception model of the semantic track; 2, conducting formalized definition on the semantic track to achieve mathematical model support for a database of the semantic track; 3, through the support of the spatial data type and the openness and expansibility of the PostgreSQL database, designing a set of native PostgreSQL data types oriented to the semantic track,so that the semantic track data type and other PostgreSQL native data types are utilized in the database; 4, using PL/PGSQL procedure languages of the PostgreSQL to achieve relevant operations of thedata types of the semantic track data types, so that the track data is effectively stored.
