The invention relates to a high efficiency graft water reducer and a preparation method of the high efficiency graft water reducer, and belongs to the technical field of water reducers. The water reducer comprises 30-50 parts of polyene propyl methyl acrylate, 10-20 parts of pyromellitic dianhydride, 15-20 parts of parts of methacrylic acid, 10-15 parts of methyl acrylate, 3-5 parts of hydroxyethyl acrylate, 5-10 parts of sodium sulfate methacrylate and 800-1200 parts of deionized water. The high efficiency graft water reducer is prepared via an aqueous solution copolymerization synthesis technology by taking polyene propyl methyl acrylate, methacrylic acid, pyromellitic dianhydride and sodium sulfate methacrylate as comonomers and the water as a solvent on a basis of research of a water reducing mechanism. The prepared water reducer is used for a concrete test, and has the advantages of high water reducing ratio and higher workpiece strength.
