The invention provides a process for rapidly starting microorganism sulfate reduction (SRB). The process comprises the following steps: (a) rapid enriching sulfate reducing strains; and (b) forming stable and mature sulfate reducing granule sludge. According to a technical method provided by the invention, the stable and mature sulfate reducing granule sludge can be formed. The technical method has the advantages that (1) the stable and efficient processing effect is achieved, the sulfate reducing rate can be maintained over 50%, and the total metal removal rate of zinc, cadmium, lead and thelike is over 99%; (2) excess sludge of a municipal sewage treatment plant is taken as inoculated sludge, sulfate reducing bacteria in the sludge is enriched, and the granule sludge is cultured, so that the biological holding volume of sulfate reducing bacteria in the granule sludge is increased, the sulfate reducing efficiency is guaranteed, and the tolerance of a system to the toxicity of heavy metals is effectively improved.
