The invention discloses an energy storage buffer control method and control system. An energy storage buffer circuit comprises an engine, a power generator, a power battery, a charging and dischargingcontroller, a buffer module and a load; the engine is connected with the power generator; the three control ends of the charging and discharging controller are connected with the power battery, the power generator and the load respectively; and the buffer module is connected in parallel to the two ends of the load. The energy storage buffer control method comprises the following steps that a current demand power of the load is detected in real time; when the current demand power is smaller than an optimal output power of the power generator, the electric quantity of the power battery is detected; and when the power battery is partially charged, the engine is controlled to work according to the optimal output power, and the output end of the power generator is controlled by the charging and discharging controller to perform pulse type switching between the load and the power battery according to a first duty ratio, wherein the first duty ratio is a ratio of a connection time of connecting the power generator to a time of a control cycle of the load in one control cycle.
