本发明公开了一种数字移动通信系统中估计移动终端距离的方法,其中,基站在收到移动终端首次发来的信息后,利用此信息估算出移动终端的初始距离,然后通知移动终端下一次发送信息提前相应的时间;以后则每隔一段时间再计算一次时间偏移,补偿因移动终端的移动造成的时间提前量应做的相应改变,同时根据时间偏移可以得到移动终端的距离偏移,进而可以实时得知移动终端与基站间的距离。利用这种方式进行距离估算可使搜索时间明显缩短,并且估计精度高。

A method for estimating the distance of mobile terminal in digital mobile communication system is disclosed. After base station receives the information from mobile termiral at first, the initial distance of the mobile terminal is eastimated and the mobile terminal is informed that the next information is transmitted at an advanced relative time. The time shift is then calculated at a time intervals to compensate the advanced time caused by moving of mobile terminal. The distance shift of the mobile terminal is obtained on the basis of said time shift. The distance from base station to mobileterminal can be further obtained. Its advantages are short search time and high precision.
