The invention belongs to the area of the method for exploiting coal. The characteristics of the method includes as follows. (1) Based on the depth and the lithology, the slanting length of the working face is designed and the requirements of the devices are satisfied. (2) The exploitation is divided into two phases: the first as skipped phase and the second as trengthen phase. (3) The minimum exploiting depth is larger than 240m and the obliquity of the coal layer less than 40 degrees. The method of using above said points can control the distortion of the ground depression, decrease the timeof changing exploitation and the amount of deformation as well as retrieve all the pressed coal and protect the buildings according with the requirement put forward by the nation.
