This invention discloses a new method for desired signal initial DCA estimation, DOA trace and intelligent antenna, in which, the initial DOA estimation includes: initial positioning zone numbers needed by the fan zone corresponding to the cover intelligent antenna are determined according to the array number applied the base station to carry out weight process to received signals utilizing the weight vectors corresponding to initial positioning zone center angle to demodulate and rank the array received signals to determine initial DOA. DOA trace includes: setting up a buffer storage to determine its length, DOA renewed period and initial step to compute the receiving results of the two weight vectors to decide new desired signal DOA value, to shift DOA increased value to the buffer storage to determine the trace step.
