本发明涉及一种镁铝合金,其特征在于其组成为含有以下质量百分数的元素:Al:10-11.5;Mn:0.1-1.0;La:0.1-0.8;Ce:0.1-0.8;Pr:0.05-0.3;Zn:0.1-0.5;Sr:0.2-1.5;上述镁合金的剩余部分由Mg和不可避免的杂质组成。其制备方法为:在(CO2+N2+SF6)保护气氛的镁合金熔炼炉中,先熔化Mg和Al,待Mg和Al熔化后,再加入Mg-LaPrCe,Mg-Ce,Mg-Pr,Al-Mn中间合金和Zn,最后加入金属Sr,熔炼温度为700℃±10℃,待合金元素全部熔化后,升温至730℃±20℃,静置30分钟±10分钟,控制温度不超过750℃,然后使合金液温度降至700℃±10℃,扒渣,铸锭。
