The present invention relates to a high speed solid state pickup camera which can shoot high speed moving objects with sharp image. Adopting the negative plate processing technigue, the said pickup camera was developed directly with the characteristic of self equipped electronic shutter. Completely discarding the additional shutter device of the existing high speed pickup camera, the said invention realizes the high speed pickup camera with self equipped electronic shutter. This novel pickup camera combines the ordinary pickup camera and the high speed pickup camera into an integral unit. The said pick-up camera not only preserves the features of the solid state pickup camera, such as,microminiature, long service life, low residual image, low power consumption and no image distortion etc., but also possesses the other advantages as fallowing: high shutter efficiency, adjustable shutter speed.
