The video network system includes an information generating device for generating information for retrieval of video images photographed by the cameras and a retrieval device for retrieving video images photographed by the cameras, wherein the information generating device acquires the video images photographed by the cameras, generates the information for retrieval from the acquired video images, and transmits the generated information for retrieval to the retrieval device, and the retrieval device stores in a storage device the information for retrieval received from the information generating device and notifies the monitor device where storage has been performed. SOLUTION: The monitoring system is configured by a management apparatus having (a) a plurality of imaging apparatuses each mounted with an event detecting apparatus, for executing at least one part of processing algorithm concerning detection of a monitoring event for a corresponding picked-up image; and a transmission control unit for outputting only a result of detection of the executed processing algorithm to the network if the monitoring event has not been detected, and outputting at least a picked-up image if the monitoring event has been detected; and (b) an event determining section for determining the generation of a monitoring event, based on the received result of processing and a recording control section for recording the received picked-up image, wherein the management apparatus houses a plurality of imaging apparatuses via the network.

摘要： Systems and methods described herein utilize a distributed server network to allow for the real-time distribution of copies of a data stream uploaded from a computing device. The uploaded data stream corresponds to an environment surrounding a user (exam taker) of the computing device during execution of a testing routine for an examination. Providing copies of the data stream in real-time allows proctors as well as other test assessment authorities to ‘peek in’ on the exam taker's environment during the exam. As a result, the environment surrounding the exam taker can be monitored in real-time to determine whether any visual or audio activity in the environment constitutes activity not in accordance with the exam protocol. Following an affirmative determination that the exam taker violated an exam taking protocol, a proctor or other test assessment authority can then make a final or early decision regarding disciplinary action.
