摘要： A video game system includes a control unit and a plurality of aroma-dispensing units positioned near a gamer. The control unit includes a hollow housing containing one or more blocks with a plurality of printer-style cartridges removably positioned therein. Each cartridge contains an aromatic compound having a discrete fragrance corresponding to a game feature, such as a character or a myriad of environmental conditions. The block is in fluid communication with a plurality of dispensing units positioned near the gamer. Each dispensing unit includes a fan and a nozzle that project a discrete aromatic compound toward the gamer that is congruent with a game character or environmental condition.

摘要： Heat-activated heat-pump systems and related methods are disclosed that include a power cycle coupled to a vapor-compression refrigeration cycle both utilizing the same working fluid. The power cycle comprises a boiler, an expander receiving superheated vapor and producing work from the superheated vapor, a condenser, and a pump. A regenerator conducts a first stream of working fluid from the pump to the boiler and a second stream of the working fluid from the expander to the condenser while transferring heat from the second stream to the first stream. The refrigeration cycle comprises a compressor that compresses the working fluid from the evaporator and delivers the compressed working fluid to a condenser. The expander and compressor are coupled together such that at least a portion of the work produced by the expander is utilized for running the compressor.

The fuel cell comprises at least one chamber to house least one anode, at least one cathode, and at least one electrolyte, and the fuel cell is adapted to receive a reactant mixture comprising reactants mixed prior to delivery to the fuel cell. The one or more gas flow channels for delivering the reactant mixture have characteristic dimensions that are less than a quench distance of the reactant mixture at an operating temperature within the solid oxide fuel cell system.

摘要： The improvement of the head of the blind rivet driving tool comprises (1) configuring and proportioning the head so that insertion of the shank of a blind rivet assembly into the tip of the head for installation causes the expendable portion of the rivet assembly previously installed to partially exit from the exit end of the head and (2) apparatus at the exit end which retains the expendable portion in the head until it is caused to partially exit and then holds the expendable portion unit it is extracted by the operator. The longitudinal axes of the head, its tip, casing and retention apparatus are essentially coincident. A preferred embodiment of the retention apparatus comprises a resilient wafer having a plurality of wedge shaped leaf spring segments extending from the rim of the wafer toward its center, the ends of the segments forming a segmented periphery of a hole having a diameter somewhat smaller than that of the rivet shank. As a shank portion is expelled the segments deflect to form a segmented periphery with a diameter large enough to allow the exit of the shank portion.
