摘要： Consistent with various embodiments, a firearm securing apparatus has a first securing interface that is configured to generate a holding force between the apparatus and a support surface in response to an applied pressure. A second securing interface is configured and arranged to receive and secure a firearm barrel and includes a graspable feature. A support piece is configured and arranged to physically connect the two securing interfaces and to provide space, to allow a person's fingers to seize a graspable feature and to allow the person to apply pressure sufficient to overcome the holding force between the apparatus and the surface in order to remove the firearm from the apparatus when desired.

摘要： The invention is a height adjustable gun rest that can be attached, and carried folded, on a rifle’s fore-end. Known gun rests are in particular unsuitable on snow, and therefore unsuitable for grouse top-hunting for instance. Loud or awkward folding, or unsuitable exterior form (for carrying the rifle on the back), are other problems relevant to this kind of hunting. The invention includes a supporting leg 1, a bearing plate 2, and a pivot catch 3. The fore-end 101 can be imagined as the upper horizontal bar of a “Z” where the supporting leg, pivoted to the fore-end, is the inclined line and the bearing plate, pivoted to the supporting leg, is the lower horizontal bar. This arrangement facilitates compact and simple folding. The bearing plate provides large contact surface. The pivot catch fix the leg’s inclination angle; that is, one of the angles of the “Z” is constant while the other is variable. The pivot catch may in particular be a crossbar, between the leg and the fore-end, whose attachment along the fore-end is adjustable.

Once attached to an object, the clamp supports a firearm fore-stock, forend, frame, stock, or barrel allowing the user a steadier aim for more accurate shot placement. The clamp provides the capacity of a rapid attachment and detachment by using a spring clamp design. In its preferred embodiment, the clamp provides a rest with two angled prongs, in a generally V-shape, above the pivot of the the spring clamp, to help to easily place and retain the gun on the clamp. In alternative embodiments, multiple rests are provided as well as movable, pivoting rests. In addition to assisting shooters and hunters, the clamp could also be used to stabilize a camera, telescope, small video camera, or other device that is enhanced by stabilization.

These will cause that for targeting a rifle, typically there are used between 10 and 20 shots before the rifle is targeted, if possible at all. There is provided an adjusting bench for use by adjusting sights when targeting rifles, including a support holder in which the rifle (4) is fastened with a support holder of rotary seated mainly about a horizontal and a vertical axis (34, 36) whereby it becomes possible to fix the rifle (4) directed towards the sighting point on a target provided at the distance at which the rifle (4) is targeted. After determining and possibly marking a mean impact point on the target, it will thus be possible, while holding the rifle (4) in the adjusting bench, to perform an accurate adjustment of the sights (8) and simultaneously to follow the movement of the sight while operating the sight adjusting means.

As consistent with one or more embodiments, first and second securing mechanisms respectively couple to a surface and an object to be secured. The first securing mechanism includes a device interface that secures a first portion of a device, and includes a rigid protrusion having a concave surface and a flexible structure coupled to the rigid protrusion and configured and arranged to flexibly secure the device via the concave surface. A first surface interface mitigates movement of the first securing mechanism and the first portion of the securable device relative to a surface. The second securing mechanism includes a device interface that secures a second portion of the securable device relative to the second securing mechanism, and a second surface interface that mitigates movement of the second securing mechanism and the second portion of the securable device, relative to the surface.
