摘要： The invention concerns a self-tightening sealing arrangement for an enclosure constituted by two parts in the form of cups defining a bottom part and a lid part and the first of which is metallic and is turned down or crimped over the second. According to the invention, the second part is made of a plastic material and comprises, over its whole periphery, a lip providing in the vicinity of its rim a space located inside the enclosure. The lip is in contact with a folded back portion of the first part and co-operates with the first part to form a self-tightening seal. The arrangement is particularly applicable to the containers of electrochemical cells and provides self-tightening of the seal with increases of internal pressure in such cells.

SOLUTION: The plasticized electrode contains a plasticized electrode conductive metal support of an alkaline storage battery and a paste consisting of an electrochemical active substance and a binder, and the binder is composed of (a) a silane type compound and (b) a polymer made of at least one acrylic monomer having approximately 0.15 wt.% of the paste. By using the paste, the calendar life or the cycle life of the battery is improved at 25°C or higher, desirably 40°C or higher. SOLUTION: As this adjusting apparatus for a battery 0 constituting n of the same modules 3-5, n-1 pieces adjusting modules 7, 8 are installed. The voltage applied to the terminals of an assembly constituted of the modules 3, 4 is applied to a divider bridge of resistors 10, 11 with an identical resistance and having a middle point connected with a non-contrarotating input part of a computation amplifier 9 of the adjusting module 7. Then, in the case the voltage between the terminals of, for example, the module 4 is found higher than the voltage between the terminals of the module 3 by a comparator circuit composed using the amplifier 9 as a center member, electric discharge is carried out via a resistor 18 and a transistor 16, and the former voltage is made equal to the latter voltage. Moreover, the adjusting module 8 works on the modules 4, 5 and performs the same function as that of the adjusting module 7.
