    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Ni-H2 storage battery, of which capacity is improved and of which performance during the use is uniformized, by setting the ratio of capacity of a positive electrode to capacity of a negative electrode to be between 1.02-1.10, and coating the active material of the positive electrode with cobalt hydroxide after the impregnation. SOLUTION: Negative electrodes 10 are arranged opposite to each other, and separated by a spacer 11, which can be filled with hydrogen. The negative electrodes 10 and positive electrodes 12 are surrounded by the separators 13. A porous medium of the positive electrode is formed of a nickel-plated porous thin film, in which the nickel powder is sintered in the surface thereof. The active material composed of nickel hydroxide, which contains cobalt hydroxide at about 5%, is electrochemically impregnated with the porous part of the medium at about 14g/dm of ratio of the electrode. The electrode is impregnated with the cobalt acetate solution at 70g/1, which is maintained at 55 deg.C for 7 minutes. Water included in the electrodes are drained, and the electrodes are washed with the deionized water, and thereafter, dried. Furthermore, after the caustic soda processing is performed, the electrode is dried so as to deposit cobalt hydroxide for adhesion.

    • PURPOSE: To easily utilize and enhance reliability by manufacturing a connection component by plastically deforming a material by forging or the like and forming mechanical and electrical connection in a zone of an almost flat contact surface between connection components. CONSTITUTION: A screw part 43 for connecting a storage battery, a base 44 being fixed to a cover of the storage battery, and a terminal foot part 42 are contained in a current output terminal 40 serving as a connection part of the storage battery. An electrode plate tip part 45 is fastened by the foot part 42 and a fixed relative component 41, and the terminal 40 and the component 41 are manufactured from one component by a mold press. A part of overlapped region of a terminal foot part 51 of the current output terminal 52 and four electrode plate tip parts 50 is formed at a normal temperature by pressing a connection component material against between a punch and a die and forging in the parallel direction with a press. Protuberance 53 is formed and both components 50, 51 are fixed. This connection is used especially to an integrated nickel-cadmium storage battery for a traction or emergency use.
