摘要： Shooting rests having elevation adjustment assemblies are disclosed herein. One embodiment of the disclosure, for example, is directed to a shooting rest for supporting a firearm having a buttstock spaced apart from a forestock. The shooting rest includes a first base portion carrying a first support for supporting the buttstock and a second base portion coupled to the first base portion and carrying a second support for supporting the forestock. The second base portion includes a body having an opening extending therethrough, and a height adjustment member slidably positioned in the opening. The height adjustment member has a non-circular cross-sectional shape in a plane that is generally transverse to a longitudinal axis of the height adjustment member. The height adjustment member is attached to the second support and configured to adjust a height of the second support. The second base portion includes a biasing member contacting the height adjustment member to at least partially inhibit movement of the height adjustment member through the opening.

The elevation adjustment assembly includes a pivot seat pivotally mounted in the body, a transitional cylinder movably mounted in the pivot seat to pivot the pivot seat, and a threaded leading rod rotatably mounted in the body and held in the transitional cylinder. The strut is attached to pivot seat. The angle adjustment device includes a mounting housing rotatably mounted on the strut. The pitching assembly is attached to the mounting housing of the angle adjustment device. Consequently, the pitching machine can throw balls in various desired trajectories.

An embodiment includes an internal storage case that has a moveable cover that can include controls for and/or connections to a device stored in the internal storage case. An alternative embodiment includes a larger portable stand that has components that are external of the case and/or are independent of a case.
