摘要： The voltage-oscillator (VCO) in a frequency synthesizer using a phase-locked loop (PLL) is calibrated during power up or channel switching. The VCO has a coarse frequency control and a fine frequency control. The coarse control consists of digital bits that are used for calibration. The coarse control is connected to the charge pump output as in a regular PLL. By searching for the optimal control setting, the center frequency of the VCO is trimmed close to the desired frequency for the PLL to lock. This allows small VCO gain without losing the tolerance of process and temperature variations. As a result, the PLL phase noise performance is improved.

摘要： Apparatus and methods for passing a focused laser beam through a thin ferrofluid cell creates a spatial distribution in the refractive index of the ferrofluid and generates a diffraction ring patterns. Using a pair of perpendicularly placed ferrofluid cells, two sets of diffraction ring patterns can be produced on two viewing screens. Deformations in the diffraction patterns due to an acceleration can be viewed on the screens, providing a ferrofluid accelerometer. By applying an electric or a magnetic field on a thin ferrofluid sample, the light passing through the sample can be modulated by the field, providing a light modulator. The apparatus and method has applications for detecting acceleration information within a gyroscope and for use in toys.

The present invention can implement detection of electromagnetic property of a specimen under the circumstances that there is no magnetizm measuring device or that magnetizm measuring devices cannot be used due to reasons such as weight and size of the specimen being too small or surface quality of the specimen being poor.

摘要： The present invention refers to a chromium-free insulation coating material for non-oriented silicon steel, comprising, in parts by weight, the following components: metal dihydrogen phosphate salt of 100 parts, epoxy resin of 10˜60 parts, naphthenate drier or isooctanoate metal salt drier of 0.001˜10 parts, organic solvent of 0.001˜100 parts and pure water of 60˜2000 parts. The metal dihydrogen phosphate salt is Al(H2PO4)3, Mg(H2PO4)2, Ca(H2PO4)2 or Zn(H2PO4)2; the epoxy resin is water-soluble epoxy resin or epoxy resin emulsion. Chromium-free insulation coating material of the present invention, after being coated on non-oriented silicon steel, renders highly transparent appearance, and has excellent insulativity, corrosion resistance, adhesiveness, weldability and manufacturability, so as to eliminate defects of the existing chromium-free coating, such as sticky and un-wear-resistant and to meet environment protection requirements.

Due to the fact that thiophene rings and cyano groups are included, the above thiophene-containing organic photoelectric materials have broader spectra respondence, better thermal stability and environmental stability.

摘要： Advantageous underwater acoustic (UWA) apparatus, systems and methods are provided according to the present disclosure. The apparatus, systems and methods employ nonbinary low density parity check (LDPC) codes that achieve excellent performance and match well with the underlying modulation. The nonbinary LDPC codes of the proposed apparatus, systems and methods are formed, at least in part, from a generator matrix that has a high density to reduce the peak-to-average-power ratio (PAPR) with minimal overhead. The disclosed apparatus, systems and methods employ nonbinary regular LDPC cycle codes if the constellation is large and nonbinary irregular LDPC codes if the constellation is small or moderate. The nonbinary irregular and regular LDPC codes enable: i) parallel processing in linear-time encoding; ii) parallel processing in sequential belief propagation decoding; and iii) considerable resource reduction on the code storage for encoding and decoding.
