The machine control receives and processes the program according to a set of machine-specific attributes, including axis configuration and worktable size and layout. Operational attributes, such as feed rate and tool assignments, are specified. Optionally, multiple components or workpieces are nested into a cluster, and available off-fall sheets are matched to the cluster, so as to maximize the efficient use of material. Numeric code is then generated to permit the machine control to operate the machine.

The module-based systems and methods execute a roll-out instruction to update an upgraded process control element, where the upgraded process control element is associated with a new module instance based on the second version of the module class. The roll-out instruction is also designed to ignore or skip a non-upgraded process control element, where the non-upgraded process control element remains associated with a previous module instance based on the first version of the module class.

摘要： A configuration system for a process plant includes a routine that automatically provides an indication of the relationships between units and sub-elements of the units, such as equipment and control modules, present within a process plant to a data historian. The data historian, which may be a batch historian, stores these relationships in a configuration file or a database, collects events generated within the process plant and associates those events to the proper unit within the process plant using the stored relationships. The automatic updating of the data historian configuration file eliminates the need for a user to manually update the data historian with these relationships, either at the time the process plant is configured or each time a change is made to the configuration of the process plant.
