    • PURPOSE: To improve the structure of an expansion valve of a refrigerant which is fitted to a refrigerating cycle of air conditioning equipment. CONSTITUTION: The expansion valve 1 is constituted of a piping member 10 having a passage to which the piping of the refrigerant is connected and a cassette unit 100, and the member and the unit are manufactured as separate bodies. The cassette unit 100 has a tube member 110 having a flange part 111. A guide member 170, an orifice member 180 and a plate member 166 are fixed inside the unit. A diaphragm 130 is displaced by the gas pressure of a gas charge chamber 122 formed by a cover body 120 and the diaphragm 130 and the displacement is transmitted to a shaft member 150 through the intermediary of a stopper member 140. The shaft member 150 is guided by the guide member 170 and operates a valve disk 160 in a valve chamber 161. The cassette unit 100 is inserted into the piping member 10 and fixed by a ring 50. Seal members 62, 64 and 66 are fitted to important places.

The pipe member(130) formed to the center area of the body is integrally formed with the body when forging and creating the body.

A rotor sleeve(41) constituting the rotor is provided with an auxiliary valve(61) moving pressure through opening/closing of the equalizing hole, and an actuating pin(64) to move the position of the main valve. The auxiliary valve is rotated on the main valve by the rotation of the rotor of the motor part, and the main valve is slid on the valve seat through the actuating pin.

The differences between the individual active carbons are balanced by the individual pore sizes, respectively, so as to be rendered substantially even. Specifically, the active carbon having many pore sizes suitable for the molecular sizes of the temperature coping working fluid, is used for adsorbing the working fluid.
