Valve actuating apparatus extends laterally from the valve in a direction transverse to the longitudinal dimension and terminates at an outer peripheral surface. A housing has a wall that tapers to a discharge opening, and the discharge opening has a size larger than a radius of the container but smaller than the greatest lateral extent of the valve actuating apparatus. The outer peripheral surface is disposed in interfering relationship with the wall when the container is disposed in the housing.

摘要： A light apparatus includes one or more light pipes and/or diffusers to transfer and/or diffuse light from a few point light sources to a broader area and to other points. A hollow light pipe includes a light transmissive sidewall that encompasses an interior space, which receives and hides control circuitry for the light sources therein. A bottom end surface of the hollow light pipe is disposed adjacent to one or more light sources and transmits the light therefrom over a relatively large, uniform area. A solid core light pipe has a light receiving end and a light dispersion end having a reflective facet therein. The reflective facet includes a depression forming a reflective surface angularly displaced from a longitudinal axis of the solid core light pipe. A light diffuser surrounding a point source of light is adapted to cause the point source to look like a flame. A light apparatus including the hollow light pipe and the solid core light pipe and/or the light diffuser is adapted to provide a plurality of different light effects, including a multi-color light show through the hollow light pipe and a flame flicker effect through the solid core light pipe.

Each light element include a translucent shell, plurality of LEDs positioned so as to emit a light show through the shell. A compartment for receiving and securing a replaceable volatile active cartridge and a heater for enabling the device to effectively emit an active ingredient from the cartridge when the cartridge is secured in the compartment. A white light source may be provided in each device as a source of illumination along with the LEDs The devices can be used as white light sources, for displaying a coordinated colored light shows, for displaying colored light schemes and for volatile active emission. The devices of disclosed the system may include an acoustic transducer for producing light and sound shows. The device may also include a light sensor, a motion detector and/or a microphone or acoustic receiver thereby enabling the light and sound shows to be dependent upon ambient light intensity, motion detection and/or ambient noise. The devices and systems are suitable for outdoor home lighting, porch and deck lighting and path/driveway lighting.

摘要： A total release actuator for use with an aerosol can having a chime, a dome, and a valve having a valve stem. The actuator has an actuator body with a lower margin defining a skirt rim that attaches to the aerosol can and a central well having a generally horizontal well floor that has a trigger port extending therethrough. The actuator has a trigger that is hingedly attached to the actuator body, preferably at its front end to the front end of the trigger port. The trigger swings downwardly when it is depressed. The trigger extends across the valve stem and includes a downwardly open stem socket that receives the valve stem. The stem socket communicates with a discharge nozzle. The trigger, when moved downwardly, activates the valve, releasing the contents of the can through the discharge nozzle via the stem socket. A latch is attached to preferably each side of the trigger port, extending laterally under the trigger. The latch is elastically deformable, allowing the trigger to pass as it is depressed downwardly and then springing back over the trigger to retain it in the depressed, valve-activating position, allowing can contents to discharge. By this procedure, a user can release the entire contents of the aerosol can without the user's having to continue to depress the trigger. A method is described of discharging the contents of an aerosol can by use of such an actuator.
