摘要： A replacement device for a light bulb includes a translucent shell and a base. The base is configured to be received in a conventional light socket. The base also includes a compartment, slot or recess for receiving and securing a replaceable volatile active insert for enabling the device to emit an insect control material when the insert is secured in the compartment Combinations of one or more of a coiled fluorescent light, a plurality of colored LEDs, and an incandescent light source may also provided in the shell as a source of illumination. Thus, a single device is used as a replacement for a conventional light bulb that provides insect control in the form of a cartridge, bottle, mat, tube, sheet, patch etc.

摘要： A heated volatile dispenser and a volatile carrier for use therewith are disclosed. The volatile dispenser has a closed heating chamber having ceiling and exit vents. A fuel burner is contained within the heating chamber, and a carrier holder is positioned over the fuel burner. The carrier holder holds a volatile carrier in a location above the fuel burner such that hot gases from the fuel burner pass the carrier holder and directly heat a volatile carrier held thereby. The volatile carrier may be held in an edge-on orientation with respect to the flow of hot gases, or transversely with respect to them. The volatile carrier has an inward end that has a cross-sectional profile made to be complementary to that of an insert slot through which the volatile carrier must be inserted for use. An alternative embodiment is shown that uses a candle as a fuel burner. A kit is shown that includes a candle and a volatile carrier that are designed to be exhausted at the same time so that the candle's consumption serves as a use-cue for the volatile carrier. Methods of dispensing volatiles are disclosed.

摘要： Apparatus for dispensing a heated gel includes a housing having a recess therein, a coupling assembly disposed in the housing and adapted to retain a pressurized gel container in the recess and a heater assembly disposed in the housing. The heater assembly includes a heater selectively operable to develop heat and a heat exchanger in heat transfer relationship with the heater and having a chamber for receiving a quantity of gel. The heater assembly further includes a first valve in fluid communication with a first portion of the chamber and operable to expose the chamber to pressurized gel and a second valve in fluid communication with a second portion of the chamber and operable to allow dispensing of gel without substantial foaming.

摘要： A spray dispensing package comprising: an outer shell; and a refill cartridge that fits within the outer shell. The refill cartridge includes a spray container which has a body and a spray valve which includes a valve stem. The refill cartridge has a base, and a spray nozzle, and the spray nozzle is fitted over the spray container in fluid communication with the valve stem. The spray nozzle is also attached to the can body with a sufficient range of motion to allow the spray valve to be actuated when pressure is applied to the top surface of the shell. The shell has a top surface and an opening in the top surface to receive the spray nozzle such that a spray can exit the spray nozzle to the atmosphere and such that the shell is supported by the refill cartridge. The shell also has guide surfaces which cooperate with the refill cartridge to allow the shell to slide smoothly relative to the refill cartridge when pressure is applied to the top surface of the shell.
