摘要： A silicone composition curable to a heat stabilized silicone elastomer comprising at least one polyorganosiloxane having the formula: ##STR1## where R is hydrogen or substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, alkenyl or aryl having less than 19 carbon atoms, each of A and D may be any of methyl, hydroxy or vinyl groups,0 350,a complex comprising a transition metal salt of at least one polydentate chelating ligand having the formula: ##STR2## where each R.sub.1 may be an alkyl biradical having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or an aryl biradical having less than 19 carbon, atoms R'.sub.1, is an X' substituted R.sub.1, each of Z and E may be any of carboxy thiocarboxy, dithiocarboxy, or --N(R.sub.2).sub.2, --A.sub.s (R.sub.2).sub.2, --S(R.sub.2) where each R.sub.2 may be any of hydrogen or an alkyl radical having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or any aryl radical having less than 19 carbon atoms, X' may be any of hydrogen, carboxy, thiocarboxy, dithiocarboxy, --N(R.sub.2).sub.2, --A.sub.s (R.sub.2).sub.2, or --S(R.sub.2), X is --N(R.sub.2)--, --A.sub.s (R.sub.2)--, or --S-- and p is 0 to 4 present in the composition in an amount sufficient to inhibit oxidative degradation of the polyorganosiloxane and a finely divided filler and effective amounts of crosslinking agent and catalyst. The complex may be predispersed in a polyorganosiloxane oil having a viscosity within a range of to 50 to 100,000 centistokes. In a preferred embodiment for use in an electrostatographic reproducing machine a fuser member is made with an addition curable polyorganosiloxane and the complex is bis (ethylene diamine) copper (II) sulfate initially predispersed in a low viscosity silicone oil and subsequently dispersed in a higher viscosity silicone oil.

摘要： An image-bearing article used in liquid contact electrostatic printing (CEP) is formed from polymers that meet the requisite conformance and heat stability for the CEP process. Excessive absorption of toner carrier liquids by the image-bearing article in liquid CEP leads to the deterioration of the image-bearing article and reduces the useful life of the image-bearing article. The absorption of the toner carrier fluid may be controlled by the addition of oxides, silicone elastomers containing phenyl end groups, fluorosilicones or increasing the cross-linking density of the methyl silicones.

摘要： A system for manufacturing large quantities of seamed belts for printing systems with controlled imageable seams, which belts require a defined circumference and width, from suitable belt material in a large roll thereof, by feeding a continuous web of that belt material from the roll in (or cut to) a width that is at least as wide as the defined circumference of the finished seamed belt into a seam cutting station, where the opposing side edges of the continuous web of belt material are cut as they move through the seam cutting station into opposing seam-forming mating edge patterns, preferably mating puzzle-cut patterns cut by small movement laser beams on each side of the moving web. The moving web is then wrapped over a mandrel surface so that the opposing side edges of the web are brought together while said continuous web of belt material is moving, mating the opposing edge patterns together to form a belt seam in a moving tube of the web material, the belt seam is adhesively sealed, and then increments of this moving tube are intermittently transversely cut off to the selected width of the finished seamed belt.
