    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bulletproof member enabling bulletproofing by a light configuration and reducing the possibility of shortage of bulletproof performance on a jointed face of the bulletproof members and a clearance portion.
      SOLUTION: The bulletproof member includes a means for tilting a bullet when the bullet is landed in a protection face, and includes a high hardness member such as ceramics, metal, high hardness resin and high hardness glass. The bulletproof member can be used as a bulletproof board by laminating high strength fiber reinforced plastics. By tilting a landed-in bullet, a cross section viewed from the advancing direction of the bullet can be enlarged and penetration resistance of the bullet to the bulletproof board can be increased. Thus, even if the bulletproof board is thin, effective bulletproofing can be achieved, so as to enable design for making the bulletproof board more lightweight.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite armor plate for dissipating kinetic energy of a shell since a pellet itself may damage an armor plate made of hard steel, when the composite armor plate is mounted as the additional protection member of the armor plate made of hard steel, such as an armored vehicle. SOLUTION: The composite armor plate contains a single inner layer of pellet combined in a plate shape by an elastic material for retention so that the pellets are combined in a plurality of columns and rows with an interval separately in the internal elastic material essentially. The pellet is formed by a ceramic material. The large part of each pellet is in direct contact with 6 adjacent pellets in the same layer for providing restriction in the traverse direction mutually.
