    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient method for producing an aromatic amine compound with a simple process in high yield, and to obtain a new amination agent for an aromatic compound. SOLUTION: The method for producing the aromatic amine compound expressed by formula (III) comprises the reaction of a compound expressed by formula (I) with a compound expressed by formula (II) in the presence of an acid and the hydrolysis of the reaction product. This amination agent for the aromatic compound is expressed by formula (II). In these formulas, R 1 is a substituent; (n) is an integer of 0-5; when (n) is an integer of 2-5, a plurality of the R 1 groups may be the same or different or bonded together to form a ring; R 2 and R 3 are each independently a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl; R 2 and R 3 may be bonded together to form a ring; and Q is a heterocyclic group, an acyl group, an aryloxycarbonyl group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, phosphonyl group, sulfamoyl group, an alkylsulfonyl group or an arylsulfonyl group.
