    • The invention relates to an airing and venting valve for pipes and fittings carrying fluid, comprising a substantially cup-shaped valve body becoming smaller in cross-section towards the bottom for closing and opening a valve outlet, with a seal cup co-operating with a float of the valve, and a cup seal which is disposed between the valve body and seal cup and is able to move into different closing and opening positions lying across passage orifices of the valve body. By virtue of one aspect of the invention, the seal cup has an internal contour which becomes wider towards the top conforming to the external contour of the valve body. By virtue of another aspect, the valve body is disposed so that it is able to move against its seat at the valve outlet so that it can release and close a passage in the region of the valve body seat.

    • The object of the present invention relates to a venting device, which can be connected to a tank containing air and water. The device comprises a first venting path for the air and first intercepting means, set along this, which are suitable for closing the first path.     • A roll-over vent valve comprising a housing formed with a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, a valve seating bounding an outlet aperture of the housing, a float member received within the housing and axially displaceable between a sealed position wherein a sealing member thereof sealingly bears against the valve seating of the outlet aperture to seal the fluid outlet, and an open position wherein the sealing member is disengaged from the valve seating whereby the fluid outlet is in flow communication with the fluid inlet.     • A tank vent valve apparatus includes a valve housing formed to include an inlet port, an outlet port, and an interior region. The interior region is partitioned to define an intake chamber communicating with the inlet port, a discharge chamber communicating with the outlet port, and a float chamber containing a vent port valve and receiving liquid fuel and fuel vapor from the intake chamber. An interior wall defines a boundary between the float chamber and the discharge chamber and includes a valve seat formed to include a vent port therein. The vent port valve is buoyant and moves up and down along the interior wall as liquid fuel rises and falls in the float chamber to close and open the vent port.

    • An inventive liquid level operated control valve which shuts off refueling with a two-stage closing operation providing an initial soft shutoff and a final shutoff. A first valve element is spring-biased within a first valve cage on the upper end of the float mechanism to seal against a primary vent outlet to provide the initial shutoff. A second valve element contained in a second valve cage within the first valve cage is coaxially arranged with the first valve element and serves to close a secondary vent outlet through the first valve element for the final shutoff. The decorking operation of the valve is improved with a dual peelaway action, in which both the first and second valve cages are configured to circumferentially peel their respective valve elements from their respective sealing positions. Additionally, the resilient seal member for the primary valve element is located on the valve body around the vent outlet to provide a positive seal while reducing the area of the resilient seal across which a tank/canister pressure differential might act to keep the valve closed when liquid levels drop.
