    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus which can uniformly preheat the whole of sands by uniformly stirring the sands to be heated by turning a cylindrical casing.
      SOLUTION: A sand stirring section 12 is formed by providing the cylindrical casing, which receives the sands from its rear end part and discharges the sands from its front end part, on a frame 4 so as to be rotatably driven, a frame tilting means 7 for tilting the frame 4 such that the cylindrical casing 1 lowers its front end during the discharge of the sands, a sand feeding screw 10 provided at the rear end side in the cylindrical casing 1, and a plurality of protrusive sand stirring streaks 11 arranged on the inside peripheral surface of the cylindrical casing 1 at regular peripheral intervals so as to axially extend. A heater 13 for heating the sand stirring section 12 is provided. The charged sands S are fed into the sand stirring section 12 by means of the screw 10, and are fluidized and heated by turning the cylindrical casing 1, and then, are discharged by lowering the front part of the cylindrical casing 1.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a hollow core, by which a high quality hollow core product can be manufactured without roughing the surface of the hollow core and without causing mold cavities and burrs in the hollow core.
      SOLUTION: Metal molds 1a, 1b are provided at the position where a sand charging port 3 of a mold hole 2 faces downward. A sand tank 5 is arranged below the metal molds 1a, 1b such that the sand supply port 4 faces upward and can be connected to the sand charging port 3 of the metal molds 1a, 1b. From this state, the sands S contained within the sand tank 5 are gravitationally supplied to the mold hole 2 of the metal molds 1a, 1b via the sand charging port 3 from the sand supply port 4, while the metal molds 1a, 1b and the sand tank 5 are being inverted such that the sand charging port 3 faces upward and the sand supply port 4 faces downward. After the sands in contact with the wall of the mold hole 2 have been hardened by thermal setting, the unhardened sands S within the mold hole 2 are gravitationally discharged from the sand charging port 3 into the sand tank 5 via the sand supply port 4, while the metal molds 1a, 1b and the sand tank 5 are being inverted to the former positions.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold manufacturing apparatus excellent in timing of supplying binder-coated sand to a forming die and of blowing steam and capable of shortening the molding time of a mold.SOLUTION: This mold manufacturing apparatus includes a forming die 2 having an injection inlet 1, a sand supply head 4 configured to fill the forming die 2 with binder-coated sand 3 by injecting it, and a steam supply head 5 configured to solidify or harden the binder of the binder-coated sand 3 by heating it with steam by blowing steam into the forming die 2. A vertical drive device 6 and a horizontal drive device 7 are also provided. The vertical drive device 6 is configured to lower the sand supply head 4 to a position where a nozzle opening 8 of the sand supply head 4 is connected to the injection inlet 1 of the forming die 2 when injecting the binder-coated sand 3 into the forming die 2 and the horizontal drive device 7 is configured to advance the steam supply head 5 to a position where a nozzle opening 9 of the steam supply head 5 is connected to the injection inlet 1 of the forming die 2 when blowing steam into the forming die 2.
