    • PURPOSE:To avoid troubles with the intake of water as well as raise the heat radiability of thermal effluents by using a system in which the thermal effluent is discharged and cooling water is taken through the upper and lower layers of an artificial filtering and water-stagnation region surrounded by walls with water-passing holes in a power station, etc. CONSTITUTION:A part of a sea water area is surrounded by walls 1 with water- passing holes 6, and the inside bottom of the surrounded area is filled with a filtering material 7, e.g., rubble, gravel, etc., to form an artificial water stagnation layer 8. The sea water in the surrounded area is filtered through the artificial water stagnation layer 8, collected through the water collection hole 0 of a perforated water collection pipe 11, pumped up by a water pump 12 from a well 9, and then sent to a power station, etc. On the other hand, thermal effluent discharged is sent divergently into a thermal effluent pipe 16 and then discharged all over the area from a jet nozzle 17.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the adherence of blocking substances to a water-collecting hole by a method in which a buoyance is always applied to the surrounding of the water-collecting hole by maintaining the level of the ground water in an underground aquifer at a level higher than the water-collecting pipe all the time. CONSTITUTION:A water-collecting well 4 which pierces from the surface of a landslide zone 1 to an underground aquifer 2 is provided. The basal end 5a of the water-collecting pipe 5 radially and horizontally driven into the underground aquifer 2 is exposed to the inside of the water-collecting well 4 through the side wall of the well 4, and a valve 6 is attached to the end portion. Furthermore, an overflow pipe 7 piercing the side wall of the water-collecting well 4 is provided, the end 7a of the overflow pipe 7 is projected toward the valley side of the mountainous ground, and water is discharged from the end portion 7a to the outside. An opening 7b is provided at a level higher than the water-collecting pipe 5 in such a way so to maintain the level of ground water in the underground aquifer 2 at a level higher than the water-collecting pipe 5 all the time, whereby applying a buoyance to the surrounding area of the water-collecting hole 9 all the time.
