摘要： Apparatus providing a tethered cap (16) for a fill opening (14) of a sprayer tank (10) which is tethered inside, rather than outside the tank, via a tether line (18) movably attached to a basket (32) suspended in the tank, and having a gasket (26) at an upper end of the basket which is engaged by the cap (16) to seal the fill opening (14) in the tank when the cap (16) is closed. The tether line (18) extends through the gasket (26) so that the basket (32), the gasket (26), and the cap (16) are tethered to each other. The cap (16) remains connected to the tank (10) when it is removed there from in order to fill the tank (10) and misplacement of the cap (16) is also precluded even though the cap (16) is not held by the sprayer operator while the tank (10) is being filled.

摘要： A swivel outlet assembly serving as a conduit for fluid flowing from a vessel to a hose has a swivel outlet top that is rotably attached to a swivel outlet base. A bore in the swivel top is in fluid communication at an acute angle with a channel of the swivel outlet base. The swivel outlet base is configured for attachment to a vessel and the swivel outlet top is configured for attachment to a hose. The outlet swivel top can have an integral hose connector. The swivel outlet assembly optimizes the operator's freedom of movement, thereby providing greater versatility, as well as minimizing stress on the hose and connector, therefore reducing the expense associated with maintenance and repair.

摘要： A pressure-limiting pump system (28’) for pressurizing a vessel(12’), including a plunger (26’) terminating in a piston (42’) loose-fitting within a cylinder (30’). The piston (42’) includes a flange (58’) forming the lip of an annular groove in the piston for supporting an O-ring seal (74’). The groove is provided with a plurality of ports terminating in the piston (42’) within the cylinder (30’). The O-ring (74’) is slidable on the piston groove surface. On the intake stroke, the O-ring (74’) moves to uncover the ports, and on the compression stroke, the O-ring (74’) moves to cover the ports to seal the compression chamber. When pressure exceeds a predetermined level, further compression causes air to bypass the O-ring (74’) and escape from the chamber, thereby limiting system pressure. The pump (28’) system may be mounted on-axis or off-axis in a tank sidearm (80). A handle (50’) is secured to the sprayer tank via shoulder inserts and is pivotable out of the way when filling the tank, yet can be locked in position as desired by a shift in pivot position.

A cup-shaped central portion of the cap (18) faces into the vessel when the cap (18) is installed onto the threaded port (14). In measuring use, the cap (18) is inverted, allowing the cup-shaped portion be used as a measuring cup to which material may be added. When the desired amount has been added, the cap (18) is re-invented to dump the material into the vessel (10). Preferably, the cup-shaped portion has a skewed rim (34) such that a portion of the rim forms a pouring lip.

摘要： A chest-mounted spreader system includes a hopper for receiving particulate material and a base assembly mounted to the hopper. The base assembly has a base unit having a base plate and rotatable shaft. An electric motor is coupled to the shaft to drive rotation of the shaft. An impeller is mounted on the shaft proximate the base plate. A shroud has a partial sidewall affixed to the base plate thereby defining an impeller cavity. The impeller cavity includes a discharge opening opposite the partial sidewall and the impeller is received within the impeller cavity. A shroud opening is in fluid communication with the hopper so that particulate matter passes from the hopper to the impeller. The electric motor is powered to rotate the shaft and the impeller to disperse the particulate matter through the discharge opening.
