    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid abrasion of a valve seat and a needle. SOLUTION: A torch valve for compression fuel is provided with a valve main body 20 with a hole 22, and a needle 50 screwed around the hole. The hole is provided with an inlet part 24 capable of connecting on a compression fuel source, the needle is supported by a second part of the hole, and the outlet passage 26 is communicated with the hole thorugh a connecting part 47. A passage extends horizontally, and is opened at an opening part 28. The opening part is provided with installing means of the torch and an ignition device assembly, and the needle is provided with a stem. A roof part 70 extends from the stem which is apart from a tip end part, and a first groove 54 is formed between the roof part 70 and the stem. A second groove 56 is formed on the stem apart from the first groove 54, and each of grooves 54, 56 support an elastic ring. A passage is tightly closed from a circumference by the second groove 56 and the ring. When the needle is positioned so as to position the first groove 54 and the ring on a position formed between the passage and the inlet part, the outlet part is closed from the inlet part. A spring and a pin device are connected to the needle at the inlet side of the main body, and gas pressure in the passage is regulated.

    • PURPOSE: To improve sealing efficiency by providing a body having a pair of flanges and a tapered arch disposed between them, the arch having a taper of its thickness so that its thinnest section is at the mid point of the arch. CONSTITUTION: A seal 22 is mechanically deformed by interference and further deformed by fluid pressure from a piston chamber 14 generated on the outer surface projecting portion of the seal 22. A seal lip 44 prevents leakage of pressure exceeding the sealing engagement of the inner surface of a second hole 26 and the seal lip 44. The shape and decreased part of an annular arch 42 forms a flexible member having the minimum thickness at a contact point with the outer surface of a rod 18. Further deformation of the annular arch 42 by fluid pressure further extends the operating length of the arch 42 brought to support the outer surface of the rod 18, and an area of the thinnest arch portion remains the maximum pressure area of the seal to the outer surface of the rod 18.
