[Class 44] [Also in Groups XVII and XV] A holder for coins 6, folded bills, &c., cornprises a spring 1, the coins, &c. being held between the convolutions of the spring. The ends of the spring carry end plates or discs 4 which may constitute finger grips by which the convolutions can be opened out to remove the coins. The turns of the spring are roughened and may be circular, triangular, square, &c. in cross-section and the spring may be plated or varnished or coated to protect it from perspiration. Advertising matter can be printed along the spring or on end plates forming closures at the ends of the spring and arranged parallel or at right-angles to the planes of the turns. These end closures may comprise two resilient discs adapted to clamp banknotes &c. between them. The holder may be in the shape of a cylinder, or a single or double cone, and it can be associated with a purse &c. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91, comprises also that the holder may have the shape of a truncated cone, pyramid, or double-pyramid. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.

[Also in Divisions B6 and E2] A note-case includes a plurality of clip elements 13, 14, 15, each having a V-shaped central portion 38, short inwardly directed bars 37, and arms 61 which cross and bear against the central portion 38, said clips being pivotally mounted on a base member 36 having retaining jaws 39. The base member is pivotally mounted in the note-case by a pin 44. The arms 61 of clips 13 and 15 are arranged on the outside, that is with their V-shaped central portions abutting clip 14. Plates 40 and 42 are attached to the arms of clips 13 and 15, respectively, by rivets 41 and 43. The plates serve as stiffening members and may carry advertising matter. The bars 37 of each clip may be inclined to each other, Fig. 3 (not shown).

[Class 44] [Also in Groups XV and XVII] A holder for paper money comprises two or more paper clips hingedly connected so that the device with its contents can be opened like a book. As shown the clips 2, 3 4. are of wire each having a triangular portion 6a, straight aligned portions 9, and a pair of diverging limbs 6 ending in loops 14, 15 and serving to clip the notes against part 6a. The clips are hinged together by a member 1 with lugs 12 bent to embrace the adjajcent portions 9. The clips may be of any other desired shape and may be covered with leather &c. A plate 13 bearing a monogram, advertisement, or other matter may be secured to one of the outer clips by rivets 16 to the loops 14, 15.

    • A method for driving a non-linear load element. On account of the non-linear interrelationship between the voltage and the current at the load element and the related non-linear dependence of the power loss on the quantities “voltage” and “current”, an adjustment of the switching speed only on the basis of the power loss in the switching element cannot be carried out with non-linear load elements without being confronted with undesirable switching losses and related electromagnetic noise fields. Therefore, the load current currently flowing in the load element is picked up in addition to the currently determined power loss in the switching element, and the switching speed of the switching element is controlled in dependence on the determined power loss and on the current picked up. The switching speed can be optimally adjusted when driving the non-linear load elements by means of PWM.
